What is mandatory climate reporting?
Let’s break it down.
In Australia, starting from January 2025, some companies will be required to start disclosing information about climate-related risks and opportunities, as well as their plans and strategies to mitigate these risks and leverage opportunities to reduce their climate impact.
ISSB &
IFRS
The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) is an independent standard-setting organisation within the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation – a not-for-profit responsible for developing global accounting and sustainability disclosure standards, known as IFRS Standards.
Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards
The Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) has developed IFRS-aligned sustainability reporting standards for Australia, broadly referred to as the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS).
Mandatory Climate-Related Financial Disclosures
